brultech users - cut the ct wires?

so did you guys leave the wires long or cut them down? if i dont cut them down i have to wrap like 8' of wire... loop it and twist tie it... will that be bad for the reading? run each ct wire... bring to brultech and leave a little slack and cut them?
looking for yalls advice.. finally installing mine... found a security box for $5 at our local steel yard.. removed lock....
    pics to follow....

I think it's mostly a matter of taste and/or space and a little bit of your plans to change things in the future. Im all for keeping the wire short for a neat install. But when I first installed my ecm1220, I didnt cut the wires at all. There were only two of them and the box I fed them into had plenty of space for the extra. I also had a feeling that the install was temporary.

I just upgraded to three ecm1240's with nearly 50 CTs. Fitting everything into a 14" can was a bit of a challenge. Once you have a CT on every circuit in the breaker box there's not much more left to do. It didnt make sense to me to try to manage the excess wire.
