    HS3 and BL Plugin upgrades

    There are a lot of changes in HS3 and will require a lot of changes from me. I am afraid the upgraded HS3 plugins will not be free as I need to get something for all the work I have ahead of me.

    I am looking for responses to the poll on how many plan to upgrade the plugins so I know if it will be worth it for me.

    As BLplug-ins are prominent in my system I'll certainly upgrade. I'm the sure HS3 upgrade won't be free so why would Plug-in updates be. I expect software authors to make something from their work but please do take it easy on me, I use 28 plug-ins on my system, 16 of them are yours!

      Agreed - I dont mind paying an upgrade fee.

      Have you heard any recent news on the HS3 changes?

        There a lot of changes to the structure of a plugin so this is definitely not an easy task.
        BLRadar will be my first upgrade as I use this one the most.

        I am just waiting for a sample plugin from Rich and a beta of HS3.

            Now that HS3 is here and a lot of my plugins have been released for testing I am sure people are wondering if there will be an upgrade fee for plugins.

            The answer is Yes

            I have spent a lot of time converting the plugins so far and I know the feature requests are starting to come as well.

            I will be charging approx $20 for plugin upgrades. The number is not final yet. I am waiting to hear back from HST on how they plan to take commission from plugin upgrades. This will determine my final price.

            Stay tuned for more info.

              I have a few questions..
              1. are the free ones going to stay free?
              2. BLFloorPlan - doesnt seem that it exists anymore as I remember seeing in the HS3 preview that they built something like that into HS3.... plans on making it better than the default or is it going?

              of course I dont mind paying upgrade prices for plugins.. as im expecting I will be doing this for AC-RF3 / RFXCOM too....

              but to drop $30 (if that is new price) for say 10 plugins.. that is just too steep for me.. so I will be limiting what I choose to go with for plugins...

                Totally understand.

                The free ones will stay free except for BLAB8SS and BLRandom. Those will be paid plugins in HS3.

                I did see that they have something very similar to BLFloorplan in HS3. I guess it is up to the users whether I convert it or not. I have started it but have a few more things to work out for BLFloorplan. Do you guys want it available in HS3? I will post a poll for this.

                The price per upgrade will be approx $20 (not final yet). If you are a new user of the plugin the price is $29.99 for all HS3 paid plugins just like in HS2.

                If I am going to offer any package deals (5 plugin upgrades for $85 or something like that) I will have to figure it out. HST is going to take 30% of whatever I offer so I have to see if it is worth it for me and my time that I have spent and will be spending going forward.

                I will let you everyone know what happens

                    Ditto... that and a few others plus the upgrade to hs3 is pushing this too far away :/ now hs2 has just started to work right not sure I can start another 4 years waiting for hs3 to be stable!

                          Any word on negotiations with HS about doing a package deal(s). I can't yet run HS3 but I have bought the upgrade in anticipation and I'd like to do the same for your plug-ins so when they get that only on "C" drive thing fixed I'll be ready to start making the switch.
