Newbie asking for advice

I installed the BCC package remotely (iam at work) and according to the speaker log and HS log everything looked ok. But since we spent 121 post to find out that there was a problem (and of course my unexperience) with the regional fenamenon and that learnning experience has been good for me, can you explain to me what exactly is a "regional problem" persay?

The script for some reason was not detecting the time settings correctly and always defaulted to off. That's why you never heard anything.

It means that there was problems with the mail server and it could not log on to retrieve the mail.

It happens from time to time.

Providing this is now all working, you can add one final entry to the checkpop.ini file.

Find:

[DeleteOnAddress1]

Add:

Emailaddress="BreakingNews@MAIL.CNN.COM"

This will automatically delete this email off the mail server. You will still get the announcements (and updated virtual device) but you will not be able to read it manually.

If you do not want this feature, just ignore!

I've now updated the download for this script with the regional change modification.

Iam trying to add this command to the ini file so that it can delete the CNN and the BBC breaking news alerts, but I can'nt locate the "Deleteonaddress1" on the ini file. I looked at it several times seems that it hiding from me. Can you shed some ligth on this?

I forgot. Because it is a dangerous feature, you will need to add that value yourself.

So what I do is call the file up and add this to the end of the file:

[deleteonaddress1]
emailaddress="BreakingNews@mail.cnn.com


Is this rigth? To delete the BBC breaking news will it be like this:

[deleteonaddress1]
emailaddress="BreakingNews@mail.BBC.com

I was looking thru the mailbox settings and there a option called "speakeasy" what does this option do?

Jon, I entered info as you stated in my INI file, and when I check the INI file at the bottom of the page the info is enter in red ,so its there ,the issue is that when HS checks for emails, the breakings news alerts repeats each time HS checks emails. I would assume that the command entered is to prevent this rigth? When I get home I will post pic of INI file.

It should not repeat. Did you create a virtual device for the BBC breaking News?
