    Account Links question

I already bothered Jon00 with a few PM's so dont want to do that...

does anyone else have a problem where..

you go into the setup/web users section and say create a new user...
    User1

then when you get the login screen to HS... you enter that user and it just drops you to the /stat page?

I cleared my cache and everything, rebooted hs, new user is not cached... and I didnt even set the new user up in the accountlinks.ini !!!!! and they have access to the stat page... weird....

        gotit man..

seems I deleted the _Line1 section for the user... that was making it the button on the user above it... so button 5 was right for the above user...

takes time to actually slow down....

You also deleted the [defaultUser] value which intercepts any users not defined. This should always be in place. Add the following back to your file:

          Default User setup

This defines the buttons that will be seen
if a user account has not been defined in
this ini file. If you wish for all users
to see the same links, set your links here
          and delete other accounts.

I will add that back in but for whom is it used for?
            thanks man..

              Oops..missed this one!

The default_user will come in to play if you have have a Homeseer account not specified in the account links. It's also there to catch mistakes in other accounts ;-)

A bit of advice. You should always use Guest as a guest account if you want to ensure that guest access protection works correctly. If you use something else, then you will loose this protection.
