    Jon00 Performance Monitor V2

Homeseer 2 and Homeseer 3/4 versions available!

Due to the popularity of this package, V2 of my Performance Monitoring has been released which has been converted to a unmanaged plug-in. This means that it runs on its own executable outside homeseer. V1 has not been withdrawn and is still available for download.

There are a few changes which include the ability to monitor up to 16 cores (rather than 8) for average CPU percentage and also the number of Homeseer scripts running. I'm not sure if this last metric is of value, but you have the choice to use it or not. You can see which script(s) are running by using the tool tips on the graph.

Just to recap, this package enables you to monitor several computer & Homeseer metrics including memory usage and CPU utilisation and trigger events/scripts when reaching pre-defined high and/or low values.

The Plug-in has the following features:

    Metric monitoring:Graphing:Values:Triggering:Logging:

    Awesome Jon! Installing it now.

Question: I assume it is OK to reuse the same devices as used in V1? For now, I just disabled the V1 event and was putting the same devices in the INI for V2.

        Steve,

Been using it here now for a bit over a week and its doing well.

It was a plug n play transition from V1.

          Nice Jon.
I like the idea that I can put the metrics in the device order I want.

Will you be doing the same thing with your ProcessMon?

                Jon,

Just installed V2, but it doesn't create the devices.
I have put free device codes in the ini file and the Jon00PerfMonHS2.exe is also running.

Did you put the device codes in after running the exe? If so, restart Homeseer.

What do you see in the homeseer log when you start the exe?

Then i see the following error

10-2-2013 14:36:27 Network Remote client connected from: 192.168.0.18910-2-2013 14:36:27 Warning Remote application connection refused from 192.168.0.189 User: default User does not exist or password is incorrect.

saw the error before but was not aware that it was from the exe.

                          The plugin uses the account:

                          User: default
                          Password: default

It should work without adding them to your web users list, however just try adding 'default'.

                              Jon,

I have put the user rights on Admin and then it is working.
But i don't like the idea of having a default user with admin rights.
