          I did a initial install on a Windows 10 Pro machine (VM). No issues.

            Hi Jon,

            Three minor issues.
            1) the first line of the title indents (the line starts with a space)
            2) the first line of the feed indents (the line starts with a space)

            With as result that it does not look tightly aligned when using in HSTouch.

            3) The RSS feed symbol is missing, the path seems correct

              I'll take a look over the weekend.

              Regarding point 3. There is no associated RSS icon for each device. You would need to enable your Device Image Column in Setup to see this as per my screenshots.

                Thanks for the quick reply. Regarding point 3 enabling the image column in setup did the trick.

                  Jon,

                  You don't have to look. Using the correct formatting solved the issue.

                    Hi Jon (and RSS/HS Touch users),

                    questions regarding this plugin:

                    I currently have a small HSTouch text box which displays and tracks "Jon00-RSS01-01"

                    1- I would like to "rotate" the text box between "Jon00-RSS01-01" and "Jon00-RSS01-05" to display the top 5 items in sequence every few seconds;
                    So far I managed to do something with Hide/unhide elements but I feel it's a complicated way to accomplish things and it requires changes if I want to duplicate it in other screens.
                    does the plugin offer some sort of "carousel" option?
                    Has anyone deployed something similar with a simpler solution? I am open to suggestions

                    2- I am familiar with the "marquee" feature in HStouch, however is there a way to scroll text vertically in a text box?
                    IE: if "Jon00-RSS01-01" has more text than the box can accommodate, it would scroll from top to bottom in a loop or top-bottom, bottom-top alternately.

                    3- Can the RSS plugin pull images ? I am looking to reproduce something like this:

                    An HTML text box works but lacks the custom font/image sizes on Android
                    RSS.APP offers such a service (RSS tracking, custom fonts, etc.) which can be put in a HTML/Iframe but it's a paid service and the price tag is a bit high.
                    Last option I found is to use Jon00 HTMLtoimage plugin and produce a static image every x minutes. but you lose navigation
                    Let me know if you have other options in mind.

                    Thanks

                      I'm new to RSS Viewer so this may be an obvious mistake, but when I try to access:

                      https://w1.weather.gov/xml/current_obs/KLWM.rss

                      I get this error message:

                      Error from [Feed5]: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.

                      Any ideas what I'm doing wrong??

                        You are doing nothing wrong. The script is rather old now and at the time of writing, most feeds used http. I need to update this so that it accepts https feeds.

                          I've just had a quick look at this.

                          Under the [FeedX] setting, add:

                          Mode=1

                          See if that works.

                            I tried the suggestion:

                            [Feed5]
                            Mode=1
                            URL=https://w1.weather.gov/xml/current_obs/KLWM.rss
                            MaxItems=3 ........

                            Same error.
