    Jon00 Eaton UPS Monitor (Version 2) for Homeseer 3 & Homeseer 4

This unmanaged plugin allows you to monitor an Eaton (formerly Powerware) Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) which uses their free UPS Companion Software. This is normally supplied with all their current range of SOHO UPS. It is an update on Version 1 which used the dated Personal Solution-PAC Power Management Software and does not work with Windows 10.

Using the supplied software allows it to operate the PC as intended but also allow Homeseer access to the data. It will create virtual devices which will enable you to view and trigger on the following metrics:

    » Utility supply status
    » Battery Capacity
    » Estimated run time
    » Output load (%)
    » Output load (W)
    » Output voltage
    » Communications lost
» Change to the event log

In addition, virtual devices are created to display the following:

    » Estimated energy consumption
    » Event log
    » UPS details

The plugin monitors the Eaton UPS companion service every 5 seconds. Triggering within Homeseer is via device value changes.

As always, it is available from my site by clicking on my banner below.

No, only their UPS Companion Software.

Thank you, Jon, for this very practical plugin. I installed an Eaton 9130 yesterday night and just now tried the plugin. All communication is working except the "Status" device. It remains "On Utility" even if the UPS is running on battery. Might this be a bug?

I'm running the latest version of the plugin and UPS Companion 1.04.

It should be working but perhaps it is a language issue. Does companion allow you to install in Swedish?

Companion doesn't have a Swedish option so it's installed in English. I tested some more and there seems to be a couple of other fields as well that don't update in HS.

"Communications" doesn't change when Companion is not running. Besides that, "Status" (as I've already mentioned) and "Output Voltage".

I've restarted the Companion service to no avail.

Would you show me a snapshot of UPS companion when it is running on its battery supply?

I've just tried it here, and all seems OK.

Most odd. OK, I'll take a look at the code and see if I can spot something.

With the help from Freddan101, version 1.0.1 has now been released to correct the issue with the UPS status device on certain Eaton UPS.
