Are you on the latest version? There was an update in March 2016 which I think was related to ungrouping issues?

Grouping shows both original and grouped

I have the grouping and love it. I rebooted today and system updated to .293. When I go into device list now, I still have my grouping but the items I grouped, now also show ungrouped.

I have device id 36 & 37. I created a root item and grouped them. Now the grouped version show, but also do the individual items. I deleted the grouping and tried again, but get the same result.

You may have a conflict with the Z-wave plugin trying to keep control of the groupings. There is not much I can do to help unfortunately.

Great plugin. One thing I would like (if possible) is define the order the devices show up. I can always define the top as that is root, but the ones below I cannot change the order. Or can I ?

I believe the order is set internally. You could try adding one child first, then add another. I don't know if that would work.

I tried that for another reason but it seems once a group is created i cannot edit or add to this group. Or should that be possible ?
Another question. I have set up the grouping on my main pc and looks really good. Then i accessed the web interface on my tablet, and none of the groupings are there. Do they only work on the device you set it up on, so do i have to do this on every device where i want it ?

You can edit, just select the same parent and then select the additional child(s).

Grouping is served from Homeseer so it should look exactly the same whatever browser you use. Try pressing the purple icon on the top right-hand side of device management page one or two times to see if that kicks in the grouping correctly.

I tried the purple button, that grouped everything together, or ungrouped everything. I went back to my PC where I set it initially, all my groupings are gone here too. I have just recreated one to test, but it seems for whatever reason it did not store the grouping.

As I have said many times before, plugins may want to take ownership of their own devices and can modify the groupings each time they are updated.

You should try this on a few manually created devices to see if they stay grouped.

I am only grouping virtual devices which I have created, I was aware that devices in plugins may not work so didnt even try with anything else. Might have been a glitch, I'll just redo everything and see how it goes.

Is there a limitation of how many devices I can create or monitor with one Script at the moment I think it is 4 of 5 in the ini file. Can I just copy and paste to create and monitor more or do I have to do that in a separate script ?

I have no idea what you are talking about. How does this relate to device grouping?
