getting started with the the older hobby board 1-wire master hub

    Michael,
are you still supporting this device in HS3?

if so, is there a getting started thread for that outlines what to do?

Here is what I did so far and it's working:

    installed 1-wire drivers
    installed j script runtime library
    installed xaphub (v1.2.4)
    installed xapmsc1wire (V3.0.6.2/3.0.6.3)

I am getting temperatures back from the sensors

I need to install the plugin and get that connected.

The xAP applications run independent of HS so any version of HS will be compatible. mcsXap plugin exists for HS1, 2 and 3. The one for HS3 is not quite as clean since HS3 does not support DeviceStatus so if you need both value and status from xAP you will need to generate two HS3 devices. Otherwise I tried to make mcsXap comply with the look and feel of HS3.

You should keep each xAP application in its own folder. Don't throw everything under HS3 unless you use subfolders for each.

I don't understand the following settings. see pic

in the xap plugin I see when I accept this sensor

        [ mcs.OneWire.srvr:xapmcs1Wire_sensor_1.DD000001319A2E28.Tempe rature] mcs.OneWire.srvr:xapmcs1Wire_sensor_1.DD000001319A2E28.Tempe rature.Text
the associated HS3 device is named

        mcs.OneWire.srvr:xap mcs1Wire_sensor_1.DD 000001319A2E28.Tempe rature
there seems to be extra spaces in the name, but I'm only interested in the Name field 'sensor_1' in HS3
