    DS9490R USB to 1 wire adapter

    Does anyone know it this adapter will work with MCSTemp? I would rather go with USB than serial.

        The DS9490 is the interface I'm recommending for new installs. It does work with mcsTemperature. It retains the power to the connected sensors which is something the DS9097U does not do. This is significant if you have switches because they will loose their state when the comm port is released. It is released so other software can share the adapter at the same time. In mcsTemperature's case the comm port is released when multiple adapters are installed on the same PC. With USB you can have up to 15 adapters installed. You can do thte same with DS9097U as well, but having 15 serial interfaces on the PC is not very common.
