I was bored today so I went and bought a wireless-based weather station at RADIO SHACK..seems great
and BETTER than my current one-wire solution weather station which I have running (with MSTemp)
I like the idea of no wires (except from the monitor station to the PC via serial cable)
Also it has solar panels for powering each of the sensors
For 300$ you get wind/rain/pressure/humidity...
plus GREAT software (windows based); you can add 3 more channels easily.
I had it running in 1/3hr flat, very impressive
QUESTION:
HOW would I go about supporting this within MSTEMP?
A previous post 2 years ago refers to importing
data from a .CSV file as the main way to get all
the data into HS variables.
HOwever it seems like it would be better to enhance MSTEMP to read directly from the weather
station (after all it it through a serial port like the currently supported weather sensors in MSTEMP)
Part number/manuals/...are at
