    Problem 2 wire device

    Michael,

Just re-installed my two wire system (using TEMP08) and having a problem with one of the devices (temperature / voltage sensor on TEMP08). These are the devices MCSTemperature sees:

    10:28:26 | Reading Sensors...
    10:28:26 | Humidity #01[9600000014CAB326]=40%
    10:28:27 | Voltage #00=01.19V
    10:28:27 | Wind Dirn[FD00000000E0BA20]=ENE
    10:28:27 | Wind Speed[9E0000000162521D]=03 MPH, Gust = 03
    10:28:28 | Rain #01[1800000000E4E11D]=005.07 Inch
    10:28:29 | Lightning #01[FC00000007C9371D]=00514
    10:28:31 | Temp #01[C5000800140C3610]=34.35F
    10:28:32 | Temp #02[9600000014CAB326]=64.22F
    10:28:33 | Temp #03[7B0008001356AE10]=60.21F
    10:28:34 | Temp #04[BC0000004CE93526]=74.21F
    10:28:34 | >
    10:28:46 | SUN 12:20:00

Device 3526 (temp08 built in temperature 2 wire device) keeps creating a humidity device instead of a voltage device (which I had it previously defined as).

Seeing the following in the log.

    22-Jan-06 10:27:52 AM~!~mcsTemperature~!~Sensor BC0000004CE93526 is known to Temp05 as type DS2438 T but known by mcsTemperature as type V

    Any suggestions?

You should see 9600000014CAB326 and 9600000014CAB326H in mcsTemperature. One is Temp (Temp 2) and one is Humidity (Humidity 1). I see a Voltage line from the Temp08, but it has no Serial Number to associate the voltage to a device.

The source code which is based on the Temp05 V5 is expecting a standard line of "Voltage [xxxx] 123V 456V" for the two voltages returned from a DS2438. This would be the first interface change between the Temp05 and Temp08. Before anything is done you need to contact Mitch to confirm that this is his intent and then get the spec for how he reports voltage for the various device types.

I don't see a 1-Wire voltage sensor in the output, or a humidity sensor. The Voltage #00 output is not a 1-Wire device but is instead the on-board ADC. That output can be disabled via the DAD ON command if it confuses the plug-in.

I was not aware of the onboard device and can accomodate it.
Pete, can you clarify the problem you are having. If you want the humidity sensor to return voltage then you need to configure it with what I think is the TYP command from the IO window.
