    Problem with MCSTemp install (ActiveX)

    Hi Michael -
I've read through most of the threads on install problems and I think I've done most of the recommendations but am still having problems.

Here is what I get in my log file:
    3/7/2006 10:27:06 AM - mcsTemperature - InitINIVariables sensorType=0, index=0 on line 6820 ActiveX component can't create object

I've installed the MSVirtual Machine, run the Critical Update and checked the command line for jviewer and all seem ok.

One thing to note is that when I click the Poll 9x9x button in the Config screen I never get anything displayed in the field.

Also, I can run OneWireViewer and it sees my sensor just fine.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Pat

The COM drivers for 1-wire do not appear to be loaded on your PC. There should have been a download performed shortly after you clicked the use DS909x box on the interface tab. You can do this manually by going to the site

    ftp://ftp.dalsemi.com/pub/auto_id/li...ers_v400b4.msi

    and running the downloaded program

      Hi Michael -
That was it. Very strange though because I definitely ran that same installer. I wonder if my messing around with the various versions of JavaVirtualMachine messed it up. Anyway, all is good now.

      Thank you.
