The drivers provided by DallasSemi have the dependency on the MS Java. While not an official position, an employee of DallasSemi indicated that features of the MS Java were needed and the port to Sun Java was not in the plans. I suspect the focus has been on HW sales and $ are not available to support SW development after the Maxim acquisition of DallasSemi.

Do you know if you can run the MS Java and Suns java on the same machine with out causing problems with mcstemp.

I do not have both installed right now on any of my computers, but I believe that I have had both installed in the past. Both can be used by different applications at the same time.

Here is a site that gives a little info about knowing what you do have installed

          Thanks Michael,

For the link, As of right now I do not have Suns java on my system.
I did not what to cause a problem with MCSTemp by installing suns java
As this is one of my favorite pluggins that I depend on.
