    Help Please 1-wire problems

Can some may be help. I have happily been using mcs temp to read my 9097 for two years. Today I tried to install a nokia serial modem. It didn't work and on the uninstall in ruined my .net istallation.

I reinstalled .net 2 using repair and by removing and installing and have also reinstalled the one wire drivers. HS works great with das3145, cm12, etc all working ok but for some reason mcs temp does not see the 1 wire network.

I have run the aag test programs and all appears good with wind data, etc all being read ok. I have even changed the comport to port 1. The only "real port" on my pc but no luck. here is the debug log.

It does not see the ActiveX 1-wire drivers. I would suggest reinstalling these drivers. The Microsoft JVM and the OWAPI ActiveX drivers are the needed items.

Maxim produced a guide at http://pdfserv.maxim-ic.com/en/an/wp6.pdf. You will be installing the OWAPI/TMEX drivers and not the .NET ones. In that guide they provided a suggested link for the Microsoft JVM.

The actual download links for the ActiveX COM components are at http://www.maxim-ic.com/products/ibu...tmex/index.cfm. They now have Vista drivers, but I have never tried that most recent download.

The download that mcsTemperature tries to acquire is at ftp://ftp.dalsemi.com/pub/auto_id/li...ers_v400b4.msi

but I know that this beta has been superceeded with an actual release.

In summary you need Microsoft JVM and the OWAPI COM drivers.

They save my neck tonight. Did a rebuild on the Hometroller and now all is well.
