    Error at startup

    message in the log today:

    <TABLE cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=LOGDateTime0 noWrap align=left>29/12/2007 01:52:41 </TD><TD class=LOGType0 align=left colSpan=3>mcsTemperature </TD><TD class=LOGEntry0 align=left colSpan=8>InitINIVariables sensorType=0, index=0 on line 8040 ActiveX component can't create object</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

It is trying to attach to the 1-wire drivers but could not identify the drivers in the registry. This is typically due to the Microsoft Java VM or the DallasSemiconductor One Wire API (TMEX Drivers and Java wrapper) not being installed. We have discussed the download for the drivers in another thread. The MS Java VM will not be part of the XP OS now being delivered and will need to be installed based upon the original XP release a few year back. A google search should find the Java VM that came with the earllier XP.
