Trouble adding sensors

mcsTemperature Ver 6.0.0.7

When ever I add a sensor to be 'monitored' the system messes up my sensor table and I have to go into the mcsTemperature config file to get things back...

For example, I currently have 7 sensors. Today I tried to add a Wind sensor, 4 of my sensors were deleted. The database was un-changed so I was able to modify my config and get everything back. In the past I have had to manually modify the config file and add fields to the database to get more than 3 sensors, this can't be right.

Not sure I am making any sense... Thoughts?

okay... I just updated to 6.1.0.14, I didn't realize updates were posted in the forum - I had been relying on the updater. I did have two devices that used the '&' house code. Does anyone know if this will fix my problem?

I am not understanding your question. What do you mean by "monitored"? Do you have an example of what your mcsTemperature.ini file looks like before adding a sensor and after adding it?

Do you perhaps have WeatherPlug installed or previously installed so that there is an weatherplug.ini file present? If there is and you are not using it then it is likely the issue and should be removed. I was not able to recreate the issue you showed when using your .ini file so it is something other than basic setup.

I also noticed that you are trying to use the Default Graph Group. This is only a placeholder and you will need to create a group with a name of your own otherwise the settings will not be retained.

I have some debug in the attached that will go to the \Data\mcsTemperature folder when Special Debug is enabled on the Interface page. It shows when blank entries are stored to the .ini file.

THANKS! I installed the debug version you sent over and removed the WeatherPlug.ini file as you suggested. All is working now - Thanks for your support. Next up is MCSSprinklers...
