Its kind of temporary location. The weather mast is up two stories; difficult to get to. I have the perfect spot for it near the mast of the weather station.
My rain bucket quit working last year. I fixed it but never put it back on the roof. Today on the roof I still have the AAG wind instrument, pagodo (partially functioning)- even with two brackets its started to crack ($60 and not worth it) , lightning sensor, and GPS antenna. A couple of years ago on a kind of windy day the ladder blew the side of the house while I was up there. I had the cell phone which helped me some. So now I don't go up there too often. The ladder is kind of heavy and awkward (fiberglass 22 foot one). One day I ended up working up there until 11 PM with a flashlight. Once up there I can hang around the front of the chimney; just climbing down is a not enjoyable.
Here's a snapshot of the mast via one of the security cams. Almost too much stuff up there. Actually while the sun is going down will take a better snapshot via security camera
