xap device names

one of the hs devices created by mscxap has the following device name

mcs.OneWire.srvr:xap mcs1Wire_sensor_1_do ghouse.DD000001319A2 E28.Temperature

1. I'm I stuck with this name because its used as the key between xapmcs1Wire and mcsxap?

2. why is are there spaces in the middle of the name? is this a hs3 bug?

From HS3 Device Management you can change the name to whatever you want. I think there was a feature added earlier this year where the xAP setup page will show both names if a different one was entered in HS3 so it would be easy to correlate.

Don't know why there is a space in the name since xAP messages do not allow them and that is the source of the text in the name.
