I received this week new Arduinos, ESP32, NodeMCU and shields. A full of test ahead I think !
About the issue we're talking about here, I was successful on first try : as a guy who takes responsability for his laziness, I just changed the ehternet shield, and... bingo at first shot. Now I can simulate a power failure, as long as I want, then turning the AC on, and the system Arduino UNO + Ethernet Shield takes about 4.5 seconds to wake up and connect. Great !
I tried this several times, always successful in about 4.5 seconds.
Maybe some of you here could be interest in this gear :
In fact, the solders were so dirt that I doubted at first sight that it could even just turn on. But it works...
And great shop'service (if that's allowed to say that here), altough I didn't know a website could be that slow nowadays.
Ok so, now I can buy the plugin. Perfect timing to take advantage of the current discount.
Greig, Randy, thanks again for your help.
Michel
PS. to be complete, the non-reactive shield is a Keyestudio model. Probably good gear in other contexts, but as far as I'm concerned, not working here.
If you read the techinical specifications here: https://core-electronics.com.au/ardu...d-2-34369.html
It seems that the original Arduino ethernet shields were not compatible with the mega. The new board has a "reset controller" that does an auto reset...
