    Info

    Hi everyone I would like to start using Arduino Uno with Arduino Ethernet Shield 2. Is this configuration supported by this Plug-In? Where can I find a guide? Thank you

    Yes, this config works with the plugin. I would recommend a Mega as you might find you run out of pins on the Uno. Download the plugin and have a read of the manual for the setup info.
    Zwave = Z-Stick, 3xHSM100 7xACT ZDM230, 1xEverspring SM103, 2xACT HomePro ZRP210.
    X10 = CM12U, 2xAM12, 1xAW10, 1 x TM13U, 1xMS13, 2xHR10, 2xSS13
    Other Hardware = ADI Ocelot + secu16, Global Cache GC100, RFXtrx433, 3 x Foscams.
    Plugings = RFXcom, ActiveBackup, Applied Digital Ocelot, BLDeviceMatrix, BLGarbage, BLLAN, Current Cost, Global Cache GC100,HSTouch Android, HSTouch Server, HSTouch Server Unlimited, NetCAM, PowerTrigger, SageWebcamXP, SqueezeBox, X10 CM11A/CM12U.

        Where is the manual? The only link I found on this forum goes to a Drop Box page that is no longer valid. The Support tab in the program takes you to this forum. I'm confused.

          In HS3 the manuals are under Help in the top menu or browse to the docs folder of your system.

          Where is the link you found and I will see if I can update it.

            Here's the only link I could find. It was from a Sticky Post made in 2014. There is a , "Here" tab that should send you to the documentation but it dead ends to a non existent Drop Box page. https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/an...arduino-plugin

            Thanks

                I've looked at the docs and still can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have HS4 Standard Edition software installed on a RPi-4. I installed the Arduino IO plugin on the RPi-4. From a laptop, I logged into the RPi using the IP address of the RPi, get the HS4 menu and from the Plugins Tab I go to the Arduino tab. In the Arduino setup the only interface to the Arduino it allows is to enter an IP address. There are no options for a Com or USB port. The setup menus don't look like the setup menu in the documentation. Now I'm even more confused. What am I missing?

                  OK, As you are running HS4 I guess have you installed the HS4 version of the plugin? The problem is you are posting in the forum for HS3 so I thought that is what you were using.
                  The HS4 Forum is Here and the plugins are very different so this would confuse you.
                  In the HS4 version, there is no manual as the plugin has a section that should guide you through the setup of the boards. Just click add a board and then follow the setup process. The Linux version only supports ethernet which is why you can not see the com setup but again you said you have an ethernet shield so this is fine as the board sketch can be uploaded from another device (eg your laptop).
                  Just shout over in the other forum if you need any more help.

                    No, I don't have an Ethernet shield but I am using HS4 and Linux on the RPi-4. From what I could see from the setup it appeared that the only interface option I saw was for an IP connection. I was hoping I was missing something to make a USB serial connection whit HS4. You have confirmed that I was not missing anything and the only way I can get the Arduino board to talk to my RPi will be through an Ethernet shield. I guess I'll back up and punt to figure out how to proceed from here. Thanks for the info.
