Has anyone successfully use HS to control an Arduino servo for their blinds?

I have an Arduino with an ethernet shield that controls and CR Parallax Servo. Something that I was never able to get working properly in vera is the ability to have a switch to either open or close the blinds by having the motor pulling the strings of the blinds. Even better is have a dimmer type slider that allows me to set the blinds in different position.

Here's what I'd like to achieve.
I have a thread bobbin that's mounted on the servo, on the Arduino side, I need to figure out how many rotations per each position desire. In homeseer, each slider position recall each of those position. But on the easier approach if I can just have an on off switch to recall the open and close position would be an achievement already.

A solution with a motor inside the top

I did not use the arduino to control the blinds, but I build a motor inside the top of the blinds in combination with a duwi z/wave blind control
