  • USB (COM) partialy not working , fix possible ?

    Hi

    for practical reason i would like to use USB to connect to my boards
    currently 4 board , and planning to add more

    1) LCD library or code , mess up the USB connection
    in the LOG with logging set to ALL : when i click connect i get the following

    " Arduino Plugin Data Received:Conneced 3 "

    the letter "t" is truncated because of the LCD accesing the Com port i think

    if i remove LCD part of the code the board connection is OK
    Code:
    #include <LiquidCrystal_I2C.h>

    LiquidCrystal_I2C lcd(0x27, 4, 20);  // Set the LCD I2C address
    bool LCDInit = false;
    and
    Code:
     case 'l':

            if (LCDInit == false) {
              lcd.init();                      // initialize the lcd
              lcd.init();
              LCDInit = true;
            }
            if (Byte3 == 0) {
              lcd.noBacklight();
            }
            if (Byte3 == 1) {
              lcd.backlight();
            }
            if (Byte3 == 2) {
              lcd.clear();
            }
            break;

          case 'L':
            if (LCDInit == false) {
              lcd.init();                      // initialize the lcd
              lcd.init();
              LCDInit = true;
            }
            lcd.setCursor(0, Byte3 - 1);

    #if ISIP == 1
            Udp.read();
            Available  = (Available - 9);
            for  (count = 1; count < Available  ; count++) {
              lcd.write(Udp.read());
            }
    #else

            Serial.read();
            Available  = (Available - 11);
            for  (count = 1; count < Available  ; count++) {
              lcd.write(Serial.read());
            }
    #endif

            break;
    2) I am not able to get any Onewire data with USB.
    tried so many workaround and modification of the code that i cant describe it here.

    DS18b20 wiring and connection are OK , because when i upload a test sketch i get values with the serial monitor in IDE 1.6.8

    the issue number 1 only appear on Arduino Uno

    i cant reproduce it on arduino mega

    currently testing Onewire on the mega

      I only have megas in my system and have no problem with this on USB or Ethernet. If you get this to work but not on the Uno I will add it to my to fix list and see if I can get to the bottom of it.
