  • Temp sensors not recognized

    Hi Ultra, everyone,

    I just installed the Ultra1Wire plugin tonight, got it directly from the HS updater. No apparent problems on install. The issue is: I'm not getting any temp sensor devices auto-installed, nor am I seeing anything put in the db. It's as if the plugin doesn't recognize the sensors. I'm familiar with Access, so I opened the db to see if the sensors were inthe temp table. Nope, nothing.

    I have the latest HS 2.1 version (not beta) and I've looked through the various threads here to see if this problem was reported/fixed here - no such luck.

    Also, please note that I have an older TEMP05 by Midon, that is working fine and reporting two temp sensor every 5 minutes, as witnessed by the exerpt debug log lines here:

    TEMP08=5
    HA7Net=0
    Is it perhaps the old version of the TEMP05 I'm using that's throwing Ultra1Wire off? Is there a way I can manually get these two sensors working? I just want to monitor a couple places for plummeting/freezing temps so I can issue alerts - my heating system is having problems...

    Thanks...

    I may be answering my own question above, but I'm not sure I have access to fix it in the plugin.

    The TEMP05 version of software I use (4.25 I think) gives the temp sensors info using the string "Sensor #01" instead of "Temp #01" like the TEMP08. I was able to use your earlier VB.Net script, Ultra, modified to add the correct matching strings for my unit. Perhaps this is the only change needed in the plugin to support the older TEMP05 software. I'll take a look to see if there is anything I can find to make that change, but I expect it'll have to be done in the plugin code.

      Yep, it's a simple change. I'll post an update later today.

          Yup, that did it, Ultrajones. Thanks a bunch!

          Everything looks good except I get no chart - no graphic image - when trying the line chart (only one available). Is there something else I need to load or config for the charting to work?

            Are you still seeing an issue with Charting? If so, are any errors being written?

              I'm still not getting a chart/graph. No errors in the log, nothing in debug log that seems to indicate any problems nor do I see anything that looks like it is calling a charting package. Just no image created. Do I need to load anything other than the plugin?

                Appears to be a HomeSeer bug related to using ASPX web pages. The latest HomeSeer 2.2 beta fixes the issue.
