Playing sound files through Airplay Speak

In your example you show putting the path in the test to speak box. I've tried that but it doesn't work.

Does this work with both Windows and Linux or only Windows since your example uses a windows path?

If both can you explain the sequence that's used and which linux scripts are called to play the file?

I'd really like to play general sound files through APS.
