    Get data from Onkyo

Any knows how to get data from the Onkyo (example: PWRQSTN) and show the result in HS3 ?

I want to show the current Input / FM station / Volume in the UI.

    Cheers,

    Frank

    Hi

Whilst I can't help you I would like something similar,

My amp is a Onkyo TX-NR1009

    The
    QSTN
seem to go across the entire code range i.e MVL, DIM, SLI, LMD
I did try creating a command in the plugin to see if it would show anything via onscreen display but nothing happened

It would be nice to show the amp statues in HS3 or at the least show on screen,

I have attached the Command PDF in case its of use

      Hi Blade
would be nice to get you thoughts on this,
would we be able to use the QSTN command even if its only to show via the on screen display, though it show in HS3 would be great, I did try a few commands but came up with nothing

What are you wanting to show that is not in the devices?
I believe there is a scripting call that will send the raw command. See the help web page for the scripting calls.
If you look in the [hs root]\data\BLOnkyo there should be a spreadsheet that shows you pretty much all of the commands

          QSTN

I would like to show current volume / zone on or off status / selected input in HS / HSTouch. I missed that help section. looks like that will work, will defenitly try that one.

As I'm not fluent in HS scripting: What's the best approach here, update a global variable with a script that runs every x minutes ?

          Thanks.

There are already devices for volume, power and input (you can choose what zones they show for) so you should be able to just show the device string of the device in HSTouch.
            Try that first

              Now I'm confused :-)
I thought the plug-in didn't have any devices. Does it ?
              I'm running 1.0.2.0..

              Cheers,

              Frank.

Yes it has devices. I worked with one of the users on here to add devices for power, mute, volume and input for all zones.

You need to make sure you update the plugin to the newest build in the HS3 updater
                Cheers,

Yeah, those are all there and work very well in the latest version.
