connection monitoring

Is there any kind of connection monitoring in this P-I??
I was doing some work on my system, had to disconnect my serial cable, forgot to plug it back in and went to use the system.
I'm trying to turn on a zone and obviously it wouldn't work but the plugin shows it as turning on and selecting sources etc.
Shouldn't there be a monitor to detect the connection??
Other systems I've used had it.

Yes I thought I checked for the Russound heartbeat
I will take a look at this
Can you log a help desk ticket on my site for this so I can track it
I will take a look and see why it is not detecting that.
