    Turn on amps before Speaking

I am sure I saw this somewhere before but now I cannot see it. I want to turn off amps when they are not in use (I live off grid and they use allot of power) I have a zwave device that I can use but I do not see a way to do it.

Create an event to turn the amp(s) on, and another to turn it/them off.
Go the to options tab under BLSpeech management.
Under speaking options is a box to select an existing event to run before speaking, and another for the event to run after speaking. Select your events. Fill in a delay if your amp(s) take too much time to power up.

This is perfect. Even wonderful. I use a whole-house ZON system for music and make announcements through all speakers (22 zones) using the Paging input. A Raspberry Pi controlled relay switches the paging system in and out from Homeseer. This delay capability will allow for the 2-3 second settling time of the ZON Pager and the after-speaking delay can be set to allow for secondary messaging/speaking and for multiple speech queueing delays. Thank you for this excellent clue.

I've done similar with my own custom announcement system - I turn on the amp via an Aeotec SmartSwitch 6, do the speech, and then turn off the amp again after. Works a treat.
