Thanks for this update! I am trying it in RS-232 mode, and it does seem to connect. I noticed you now allow the SetVolAVR script function to accept a numeric argument (thanks for that!!), however I think there must still be an issue.

If I call VolStatusAVR I get back a number like "-45". However, if I try to pass a negative number into SetVolAVR I get an error message in the HomeSeer log saying "Master volume must be in the 10 - 90 dB range". However, if I pass in a positive number (such as "30"), nothing seems to happen. The volume level does not change, and the value returned by VolStatusAVR continues to be "-45" before and after the call to SetVolAVR.

I'll check into the setvol script function...but will have to wait until after Christmas or family will have me tarred & feathered.

Bummer, tried to help test this but I dont have a license. The demo wont let me try it either. Says unlicensed when I try to apply the update when it said I had x days left on my trial.

              I have a 3810ci that I can test with...

              Thoughts?

                  New version problems

I tried the plug-in that was posted on Dec 24th. This version is better, but still has a lot of problems - for instance the denon will go into standby /on etc using the devices page, but when i try to use the DenonAVR page the power on /off functions do not work and the volume (min, mid, high etc) only work rarely. The input controls for main only work sporadically as well.

In this version, I can see more status messages being returned, and can see status being exchanged/logged when i use the IR controls with the denon, but the status fields in Homeseer are not accurate...

As a check, i brought up the Girder controls for the Denon, and they still work to control the unit (Girder does not try to report status, it only seems to control the unit...)

OK here is another test version....

                    Version 2.2.1.13

Added new script functions to set dB volume levels directly using dB values like 38 or 40.5 or -30

Updated help page DenonAVR-Doc.htm (belongs in "C:\HS directory\html\DenonAVR\"

Numerous other fixes..I hope...this version is still development, so there may still be some problems.

Please let me know how things are progressing.

Does this plugin support the 3810ci? Also is this for 232 or Ethernet connectivity?

                      Thanks!
