Sorry for multiple questions, but even though I've studied and searched, I'm still confused.
I have a GC-100-6 with a GC-IRE plugged into the serial port on the GC-100. I have the GCIR Receiver plugin installed and working (mostly, using a com port redirector).
1. Which COM Port should I assign to the GC-100?
2. I have enabled Infrared and Other. Is that correct?
3. Under "Global Cache Device Configuration", "Serial Port Module Redirection", selections are not retained when I click Update. Should they be?
4. To get the GC-IRE working, I installed a com port redirector and can get the GCIR Receiver plugin to work, but it fails each time I restart my computer. I must manually go in and change the com port number to a dummy number, save it, then change it to the correct number and save it again. How can I get it to retain the configuration after a restart.
