Cannot receive data on serial port

This plug-in is getting frustrating.

Is there any up-to-data documentation for this plug-in?

I have tried everything I can think of to register a script for handling incoming serial data but nothing works.

Any clues?

Did you ever get an answer? I have been going through the same challenge. It is not clear how registration ties to receiving data.

Yes I did get it working but it was a while ago.

I realise how old this post is but I'm having the exact same drama as the poster. Does anyone know the correct way to call the register script handler ?
