    Control Bell Express Vu

I'm trying to control my Bell Express Vu satellite receiver through my Global Cache plug-in. I 'm using a IP2IR module. It's controls all my other devices perfectly (TV, stereo, fireplace) except for my satellite receiver. I've tried all four of the code options in all three ports and none of them work.
My satellite receiver is set to Remote Address 2. I have another receiver set to Remote Address 1 and it can't be controlled either.

Anything else I can try? I'm running the Global Cache Pro plug-in 5.0.0.56

It works for me. Are you sure you have the correct IR codes. I run Global Cache GC-100 but the IP2IR should work if it works with other devices.

I'm also getting the codes straight from Global Cache database to try. I haven't gone through them all, but so far none of them are work either

I use the UltraGCIR plugin and not the Global cache plugin so I'm not familiar with. Are you saying that from the plugin you chose bell expressvu and the function and the IR codes comes from their database? If so their database could be wrong. Is there somewhere in the plugin that you can enter your own codes. If so try this one and if it works I can post the rest.

If you can't enter your own codes in the plugin you can always try the UltraGCIR plugin. It has a 30 day trail. If it works you can buy it after.

        HTML Code:
        sendir,$MODULE,1,58000,1,1,23,354,23,161,23,354,23,161,23,97,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,354,23,161,23,97,23,161,23,97,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,354,23,161,23,97,23,161,23,97,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,161,23,1160

I think you're right... I tried your code and it worked. I had to change the remote address of the receiver to 1 for it to work. That was for the Guide, right? Can you send the rest? Is there a set of code for remote address of 2? I have another receiver in the house and I'd like to keep the different if possible.

Yes that one was for the guide. Here is the attached document with the rest. There should be a set of codes for address 2 available as well. I got my codes by using a GC-IRL IR Learner plugged in to the back of my GC-100 and learning the codes. This device plugins to a serial connection and I don't think the GC2IR has a serial connection. I would be happy to learn the codes for address 2 for you however the receiver that I have doesn't have address 2 so I would need a remote that does. The codes for address 2 are probably the same as address 1 with one digit making the difference. If there was a way to figure out which you could take the codes I have posted and modify the one variable.

Not sure if this would help, but dish network makes the expressvu receivers. Maybe try one of their codes?

That is exactly it! The Dish codes are controlling my Bell Express Vu perfectly. I will try the other addresses as well.

                Thank you for your help!
