    Bus Number Changes When Restarting

I have had a couple of incidents were origninally bus 0 becames bus 1 after restart. This has nothing to do woth the plugin, it is IRtrans serverer who gives bus numbers on IP detection probably. After a cule of restarts I have been able to reset the BUS's in right order again. Consequences is ofcourse that the plugin do not work. Maybe this should be adressed to IRtrans from someone that understands the total concept better than me. What do you think YoYo

    Hi Tore,
When the server software (IrServer) starts, it does a broadcast to see what IRTrans devices reside on the network. The bus assignments are done on a reply order basis, meaning the first device to respond gets bus 0, the second bus 1, etc.

Obviously, this is not good for us HomeSeer users as it can lead to the problem you've described above.

The solution is to go ahead and name the devices on the command line in the order you'd like them assigned. So, if you're using IrTransTray to start the server as most do, it would look something like:

    .....irtranstray.exe 192.168.0.51;192.168.0.55;192.168.0.56

This would cause .51 to be assigned to bus 0, .55 to bus 1, and finally .56 to bus 2.

    Does that help?
