    Hi Jan,
This is the first I've heard of this type of problem. Normally, the IRTrans server software will automatically take care of creating the remote, when requested by the plug-in.

Is it possible the folder permissions are restricting creating new files? I suppose this might be the case if you are using the software on Windows Vista.

I think I would check the folder permissions on the folder where the remotes are stored, and allow "Users" full control of the folder; then try again.

Let us know how it goes...

          Hi Jan,

Are you saying you can't make the IRTrans system work on its own? If so, there is no point in messing with the plug-in until you get those issues resolved.

I know it works on Server 2003 because I tested it at one time and used it that way for several months.

You do not need to manually create the .rem file, the plug-in in conjunction with the IRTrans software will automatically take care of that.

Still sounds like a "permissions" issue to me. Make sure you can create files in the folder that the .rem files reside in.
