  • Problem Connecting to Hub

    Hello, I am having trouble connecting to my 2 Harmony Hubs. Both are discoverable and I enabled XMPP, but I am getting the following error in the log:

    The Connection to Hub with ID d6c237bc4b0e472d6ce06d0d7b0583206e1f62be failed with message: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond

    I can ping that IP address from the HS3 server so the network connection seems to be correct. Has anyone run across this or have any ideas how I can fix this?

    Make sure you have not blocked port 5222 outgoing in your firewall.

      Thanks for the suggestion. I added a firewall rule but that didn't fix the issue. However, I did notice that the IP address that was discovered by the Harmony plugin is not the IP address assigned by the router, and when I forced the use of the router assigned IP, the connection worked.
