My hubs have been working fine however the hub further away from it's AP recently started disconnecting. In my case the AP's minimum RSSI was set to low which caused the hub to intermittently drop WiFi connection. I set this option months ago so not sure why it just stared causing problems (maybe recent firmware). I disabled the setting and have not had any more problems.

Gregg, what was your RSSI set to, typically it's suggested to be set at -80 dBM ? mike

It was set to 62 because I was trying to limit some device from connecting to that particular AP. Now it's the only AP with the 2G radio enabled so all 2G devices connect to it as I wanted.

Can you point me in the right direction for the logs? Thanks

If you are looking for the Unifi logs they can be found in the controller UI, called "Events" (calendar icon, 4th from the bottom on the left of the screen). You can search for events relating to your hub using the name of the hub if you have named it in the controller.

Thanks. Searched and nothing out of the ordinary. Mainly the hubs switch from on AP to another because the AP is down due to me updating the firmware.

So I noticed something odd this morning. Last night 2 of my hubs stopper working locally. I did the long power cycle and that didn't work. I then did a "reconnect" from the controller and it forced my hub to switch from my AP-AC-PRO to my AP-LR (older model). Now it works just fine. I did the other hub and now it worked. I checked the other hubs and they were all on the AP-LR.

I then did a firmware update on the AP-LR and all my hubs switched to AP-AC-Pro and they all lost local access. I don't see any settings that might affect this, but thought I would see if anyone had any ideas on why this might happen. I did read that that the hubs might not like APs with SSIDs that broadcast on 2.4 and 5ghz, so I will test by turning off 5ghz on my AP-AC-Pro to see if that works. If it does, I'll create a new SSID for them that is only 2.4ghz.

I also noticed yesterday that some of my google devices aren't connectable via my phone either. They all also started working once they were on the AP-LR. Something has to be up with the AP-AC-Pro

Anyone who might to know any thing I can try besides turning off 5GHZ on the SSID would be appreciated.

Edit: I did find this and I am reading through it between meetings: https://community.ui.com/questions/H...84936ec?page=1

Found something new for those following this thread, apparently UniFi has updated their Wi-Fi Network screen, they've added a "Name/SSID 2G Suffix" where you can enter a name to signify your 2g Suffix in my setup I entered _IoT which annotates you WiFi name to signify that its the 2G SSID which is great because when you go to reestablish you Harmony Hub you will only see the WiFiName_IoT (example) which is the only frequency that it can connect to. thought I would share...
