Hmmm... it seems like the plugin can't see the iTach.
I see this in the device options:
    IP Address: 192.168.0.83
    TCP Port: 4998
    Network Status: Disconnected
I added an exception in the Firewall for port 4998 Just to be sure, but that didn't help...

I've importert codes learned using iLearn, but when I select them on the Status page, port 1 doesn't light up (that's the port to the left, right?).

EDIT: I had to restart HomeSeer. Then it connected. But what happens if the iTach loses power? Do we have to restart HomeSeer when that happens?

      Nov 7 build..

Did an uninstall of the previous version, restart of HS, delete previous housecodes, shutdown HS, install latest version of plugin and restart HS. Just wanted to ensure that I was starting from scratch for beta testing purposes.

Issue: my GC-100 is being detected but only the 6 IR ports and no relays. the 3 relay ports were being detected before but not now. Any ideas?

Also, I'm planning on using some of the IR ports for sensor inputs. How does the plugin deal with this? I notice that it still calls them IR but will it show open, closed, on, off, or...? when a contact sensor is used.

      Cheers

Update: changed the GC-100 settings so that the remaining 5 IR ports were set to "sensor" and the plugin eventually changed the devices from IR to sensor but it states that 2 are closed and 3 are open when nothing is connected. Is this normal?

The plug-in has a watchdog timer that ensures the Global Cache device remains connected. However, this watchdog timer doesn't start until it makes an initial connection. You shouldn't need to restart HomeSeer again.

You can test the watchdog timer by removing power to your Global Cache device, then reconnect it about 15 minutes later.

I made a few changes to the plug-in to support sensors and relays, but did not fully test them because my Global Cache 100 config is locked (and it won't let me unlock it).

Can you enable debug, then restart HomeSeer, then let it run for about 1 minute, then send the debug outptut to ultrajones@hotmail.com?

Done. I didn't see any errors at all though. Very odd.

            Thanks!

It looks like you forgot to restart homeseer after enabling debug. The debug output is missing the initial startup.

OK, I've had the chance to play a little with the plugin and the iTach. Both are fantastic!

However, I have a quick question:
Will the plugin support event actions and/or scripting functions?

                    Ultrajones,

HS tells me my UltraGCIR trial version has only 5 days left. Don't know what to do, as the commercial version is not for sale yet. Wouldn't like to have to revert to the other plugin in the meantime .

                    Thanks,
                    Nicolas

I've done some more testing, and I have some "issues".

                        1. The watchdog does not seem to work for me. If the plugin loses the connection, it stays disconnected.

                        2. Is the "GlobalCache WIFI" device reflecting the connection state of the plugin or the actual iTach? It seems to be stuck on "Connected" no matter what...

                        3. After some thinking it did occur to me that I could use device actions in Events...
But "proper" scripting functions would be cool.

UltraJones, do you need to reset to factory defaults? If so here is howto:

It's a great plugin, but at the current state I'm surprised when it works. I would prefered to be surprised when it didn't work.

                              And I've screwed this up.

Just to be sure the installation wasn't faulty, I disabled the plugin, removed the devices, closed HomeSeer, uninstalled the plugin, and re-installed it again.

Now the plugin doesn't report a housecode and the devices arent' recreated.
