Problem with IR Codes
Collapse
X
-
I have an old Sony projector in the basement that requires 5 repeats. Once I figured that out it works like a charm.
-
All fixed.
For future reference it seems that the Sony products need the repeat set to 2.
And to import your IR codes from the global cache db not the remote (works soo much better).
One other issue I came across was a bad ir blaster, have to replace it (thankfully the ir emitters work fine).
Thank you everyone for chiming in!

You might try to repeat the signal three times. GC support suggested this to me for Sony stuff.

And take a look at the Global Cache database as it has the codes for your receiver: http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=169873.
It gives the power on command as:
Code:sendir,1:1,1,40638,1,1,95,24,24,24,48,24,48,24,48,24,24,24,48,24,24,24,24,23,24,24,24,23,24,24,47,1065

There's also a file posted here:
http://board.homeseer.com/showpost.p...12&postcount=4
Maybe try that one instead of yours. It needs to be edited with the $MODULE variable as well.
Cheers

To allow it to be used by any port, change it to:
Code:[RECON] sendir,$MODULE,1,1,40064,1,1,9,11,4,24,10,2,1,2,30,24,48,24,24,24, 24,4000

Are there any settings that I should have changed in iLearn?
The file contains:

Can you attach your file? I have a Sony receiver and can try and test the file with it.
Cheers

Problem with IR Codes
I installed the plugin and the iTach WF2IR devices created automatically. Everything (hardware wise) appears fine and dandy.
I then sat down and used the iLearn to learn the Sony Remote for my old Receiver (STR-DE695). This setup will be going into the garage.
I saved the file.
And loaded it in the plugin. Ensured that the codes imported.
Then... I tried to test turning the receiver on... no dice.
I went back to iLearn and re-learned the Power button on the remote. Tried to "Send IR" and nothing happened.
Googled / Youtubed but I'm at a loss.
I've changed the ports and switched between the ir blaster and ir emitters and nothing changes.
Is there some secret handshake that I'm missing here?Tags: None
