  • Are most BI options are not in this plugin?

I bought this thinking I'd be able to control BI like I can from UI3 (or at least most of the functions) and it seems, unless I'm missing it, that this plugin does only 4 or 5 functions? Am I missing where to do things like...
-- Direct control on the HS3 device (I dont see ANY?) Have to create an event for Anything we want to do!?
-- Disable/enable Webcasting (on specific cams) *different than enable/disable camera itself.
    -- Take Snapshot

thx, hope I'm just missing where to do these things.

Would be appreciated if you will help. I and other spent real money on this and it doesnt really do much. Really need direct control on the device. Will you be adding that or should I ask for my money back?

    thx

The plugin makes use of all of the functions exposed by the Blue Iris JSON interface. Anything that the BI author makes available is exposed in the plugin.

in addition the plugin also supports web hooks from BI motion/recording events in order to trigger HS3 actions..

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘direct control on the device’.
It’s not clear what you expect from webcasting to HS3? There is no video playback capability in the HS3 interface
As for snapshots, there are other plugins out there already written to take snapshots from cameras or NVRs and the plugin help documentation makes it quite clear this is about control not about video/snapshots

Can you describe your expectations a little further so I know what you’re trying to achieve and how the 30 day trial of the plugin failed to meet these expectations ?

        You could also try this

Implementation of the MQTT IoT (Internet of Things) protocol. Configure your MQTT server on the Options/Digital IO and IoT page. The software will listen for any topic matching BlueIris/#, currently only BlueIris/admin is implemented. When a message is received on this topic, the message payload is parsed and processed exactly as if it were received via the web server following /admin?. Example payloads are "signal=0" and "camera=cam1&trigger".

The MQTT interface exposes the exact same functions as the JSON interface

Please elaborate. I asked for for Hide/Unhide (https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/ca...eature-request) and also asked to be able to set a preset (#17

My two top desires are to be able to hide cameras and even more desirous, to be able to “set” a preset and “call” a preset where the preset number is up to 150. Some of these new cameras use “set” and “call” of various presets to turn on/off features like auto tracking.) both of which are exposed by the JSON interface but are not available in your plugin.

The first request was answered by you that it would be implemented in Q1 of 2019 but it hasn’t. The second isn’t implemented either.

So, help me understand how the plugin makes use of all the functions exposed by the Blue Iris JSON interface.

Directly on the Device in HS3, under Device Management ... would like buttons for Disable / Enable / Hide / Show

Also, I dont see any way to Enable a camera directly setting its 'Device Value' - like from a script or with Easy Trigger (using Group) there is no way to set a value to Enable, only Disable (see screenshot)
