Trigger not being sent from BI5

Can someone confirm that plug-in is not receiving trigger info from BI5 before I spend too much time on it? I really loved that feedback from BI. Now I get recording status with some delay but no more no status when camera is triggered.

    Thanks, Charles

Something is wrong with blue iris.

i send event updates over Json. Nothing is actually being sent. I can type the URL in a browser and Hs works.

as of now, I’m using the camera to send motion alerts over http.

mik3 Do you use camera itself sending motion alert over http to HS bypassing BI or just using alternative method to send alert from BI when camera is triggered in BI and sending it to BI plug-in over http?

Just trying to see if you are still getting benefits of BI motion detection.

Normally I use bi to sent a trigger event over http. This stopped working. So I setup my axis to do it.

Not sure about the PI, but there was some change in HS4 that stopped JSON calls from BI to HS to not work without added username and password to the JSON call even though it worked in a browser.

I've been getting motion triggers from BI5 and HS3 regularly including today. I'm using this and it seems to be working fine on latest versions of BI5, HS3, and BI Plugin:
IF Camera South has a motion alert in zone ABCDEFG

Burrington I am using BI5 latest version and HS3..

I have added new action "Web request or MQTT" under camera settings > Alerts > Actions > On Alert

              192.168.xx.xxx:80/JSON?request=pluginfunction&function=Alert&plugin=Blue-Iris&P1=&CAM&P2=&TYPE

I checked all motion zones. See attached picture..

Do you have it setup the same way? It looks like UI in BI5 is little bit different fro, BI4. Anything else that I should check? If it works for you, it should work for me too.. :-) Maybe I am just missing something simple.

That’s exactly how I had it setup for the last 6 months. It just quit working....

So I copied the exact URL and programmed my axis camera to send the http URL to HS. Which works.

This is why I think it’s a bi issue.

                Have you checked their forums?

mik3 Are you on HS4 or HS4? Burrington is saying that it's working for him..

I am a little bit confused how you have it set up..

                  1. Are you using BI motion detection to trigger camera and then having you camera send the URL to HS?

2 or are you using camera's built in motion detection ?

I will check if there is way for me to set it up similar way you have it if we can't get it working within BI. I have PTZ Sunba camera.

Number 2. I have the axis motion app installed, set my areas of detection and the trigger to send a http request over json to the device I want to turn on.

mik3 That's too bad because I really like capability of BI to fine tune motion detection..

                        Agreed.

                        open a case with bi?

mik3 I would but don't understand the problem well enough to make my case that it is indeed BI problem.

Here is how I am getting BI to run a HS3 event on trigger:

                            192.168.0.2/JSON?user=usr&pass=pwd&request=runevent&id=281
(replace usr with a HS3 user and pwd with the user’s password)

To get the event ID, use Jon00’s Event Viewer utility.

I am using BI5 to detect and declare the motion trigger, not the cameras.

I have a similar alert in my camera setup, but I definitely did not add it. It was done somehow automatically when I was setting the camera up. My HikVision cameras were listed in the camera setup pick-list and I installed them that way, so maybe that's where this alert was installed. In any case, here is the text from mine:

                              192.168.1.115:999/JSON?request=pluginfunction&function=Alert&plugin=Blue-Iris&P1=&CAM&P2=&TYPE

115:999 are my HS3 IP and Port numbers. Can't see all of your text so don't know if yours is the same or not. Everything else in that window looks the same as yours.
