  • Trigger actions based on movement on an IP camera?

Is there any way to trigger Homeseer actions based on movement detected on an IP camera?

Take a look at BlueIris software and BlueIris plug-in for Homeseer. That combo will do the trick.

Thanks! Any solution that doesn't require a new server software to be running? for example, I can have the camera save images to a network share (by FTP) and maybe Homeseer can pick off that, or some similar thing?

This is something I've been noodling on a bit lately. My camera will send email and ftp pictures and video based on motion detection. All I want to do is set status of a virtual device. There are email functions in HS where you can parse a received email for commands or strings, but I don't really want the overhead of managing emails on the HS machine.

Blueiris is way more than I want to get into.

Some sort of interface that could trigger by a file being created (via ftp) would work fine.
          Regards,
          Michael
