It would be neat if it could determine if the kids were home alone to check and see if status of the alarm is activated and notify you to activate it if it isn't activated.

Also, if it could learn faces and count the hours the person is in the house. (Family feature/Stranger feature) After a certain amount of time, notify the home owner about the number of strangers in the home and the amount of different faces detected. Boy/Girl would be nice also... This would help prevent those parties when the parents are not home.

What ever you do, I know it will be an awesome plugin. Look forward to see what you come up with.

Those sound like they should be done via events. Just need the right info exposed, and they all sound pretty basic... except for the boy/girl feature? Is that a thing??

I have one that is still boxed up... I think I'll try it out this weekend.

My only request so far is for it to support multiple cameras (Front and back door), and it seems that's already supported from the screenshot.

Edit: just got my NetAtmo welcome... first impression: pretty nice camera + lens, wide enough (spec says 130') for flexible placement and not too distorted. The app (iOS version, tested on ipad air2) was kind of sluggish and the supposed 'Live' view shows up with 10 seconds lag on my brief test. It can tie its occupancy feature to the iOS device (not sure about android) so it'll flag your home/away by your device's location on top of the camera ID system.

I asked Rich to post the UltraNetatmoWelcome3 HSPI. It should be available via the HomeSeer updater soon. Here is a link to the Release Information. It has not yet been tested on Linux, so please don't try using it on a Linux based system until further notice.

At this point, the plug-in is beta/release candidate. If you have a Welcome Security Camera, feel free to try it out for 30 days and let me know if you experience any issues. Please post any feature requests here. My plan is to focus on adding any missing features and fixing any bugs found before it's posted to the HomeSeer store.

Couple of quick issues encountered on install. The release documentation link does not point to a valid address. Saw that during download and off release link on announcement page.

Can't get authenticated. Attached below is the debug log. I only have the Welcome device and not the weather station in case that makes a difference. Double checked that I was using the same email address as my app login as well as the password.

As to the accuracy question above, it seems to be pretty good after it is trained. I got mine on the day before thanksgiving when over 20 people were milling around in the kitchen. The manual matching was somewhat painful. later in the week my 5 year old grand daughter come in and it picked her right up. I have noticed that it sometimes has me leaving when I have passed through the kitchen... some tweaking may make that better.

Bottom line is that it is kinda fun to play with

I fixed the code so that it won't continue if the access token cannot be obtained. In your case, please retype both the Netatmo Credentials (Username and Password) to make sure it's accurate.

For now, I have pulled the update while I look into this.

I verified my login name (email address) and password by logging in to the web portal then re-entered same into plug-in.

Is anyone getting good mileage out of the NetAtmo Welome?

As far as I can tell, it can only detect someone 'coming home' (being present) through the video, not someone leaving the premise. Instead, it relies on your smartphone's location service (if enabled and paired with netatmo welcome) to reliably detect that someone has left the premise.

The only other option to detect that someone is 'leaving the premise' is without a 'timeout' of sort, that if the device doesn't visually identify someone within a period of time (configurable from 15 minutes to 12 hours or so) then it will flag that person as 'not home'.

I was under the false impression that the system would be able to tell whether someone was coming home or going out by analyzing the video and direction of movement of said 'face'. Unfortunately that seems to not be the case here.

Another point, is that I haven't gotten LBS to work with my Android phone at all (Blackberry Priv) while it somewhat work with my iPad.
