I am confused. UltraNetCam does not have a netcam/images library. Are you talking about the images in HomeSeer HS2\html\Images\hspi_ultranetcam?

Missing netcam.gif

Hi,
After messing about with HS3 I seem to have lost netcam.gif from the netcam/image library. I presume this is the only file missing.
I have tried repairing it but to no avail.

I get an error in the logs stating this is missing so I have copied and renamed another .gif file and issue goes away but instead of the netcam image I get the renamed one.

Any suggestions or can someone send a file with all the image files that should be in /netcam/images/

Great Plug-In

I just downloaded the trial of this plug-in. I must say I am very impressed. This does almost everything I need and will eliminate the need for ZoneMinder in my setup. The only issue I am finding is the delay when using the camera based trigger to capture jpg's. This isn't a problem with the plug-in per se just a limitation. With Zoneminder a cache of images could be maintained so when an event occurred the cached images could be captured as well as the future events.

Issue Fixed

It doesn't look like you have the ULR correct if your camera is returning a 500 result code. If you take the URL and put in into your browser, does the browser display a jpg image from your camera?


Are you entering /Image.jpg in the NetCam Snapshot Path textbox?

Entered /image.jpg and errors have gone. Have created an event and all is working fine.

Please do the following:

1. Enable debug in UltraNetCam
2. Shutdown HomeSeer
3. Delete the database in {HS Root}\data\UltraNetCam
4. Restart HomeSeer

The database should be recreated on startup. If you are still seeing these errors, then please send the debug logs to ultrajones@hotmail.com so I can review them.

Types and Camera's

Today I installed UltraNetCam 1.1.4646.30097 TRAIL on Homeseer Professional Edition 2.5.0.52 (WIN7).

Problems with installing TYPES and Camera's.

Not possible to create a new Type.
Not possible to create a new camera.

Errors During capture

Trying out this Plug-in and getting error every time I capture an image using test button. Can anyone direct me to the possible cause.

Question on IR mod control with FI9820W

The issue with my Foscam 9820 and WLAN was solved by reflashing the firmware with the same version (newest) that was already on it. Evidently it was somehow corrupted. So far it has been ok, but the reported issues with brightness are true. One workaround is that you can force the IR mode on sooner through a CGI URL, and of course Homeseer can do that.

I'm setting up a new FI9820W and I was wondering if someone could point me to the documentation so I can force the IR mode on sooner through a CGI URL as mentioned above. I can't find any mention in the user guide or on the FOSCAM website and not sure where else to look. In low light the image is near useless.

PS. - agree with others, FW on this model is half cooked and using it on a Mac is a big problem - had to view via Windows EI. On the upside, no problems getting UltraNetCam to work with it....

Oh, your HomeSeer is not listening on port 80? Then yes, you need to specifiy the port. I'll update the documentation.
