I've had no response concerning this so I gave one last shot at an unistall/re-install of the plugin. First I backed up the HS3 folder onto a network drive and disabled and uninstalled the plugin, shut down HS3, searched the entire hard drive for any mention of UltraNetCam3 and deleted any file or folder with that phrase in the title. Then I searched the registry and deleted any reference to "UltraNetCam". As far as I can tell, the Hometroller was clean.

Then I ran Malewarebytes which found nothing.

Then I downloaded and installed the plugin, left it disabled, rebooted HS3, enabled the plugin, watched the log until it looked idle then shut down HS3.

I still got the plugin crash pop-up so I disabled the plugin again.

Any ideas?

This is an issue that I have not been able to identify. It's only occurring on Windows 7 systems. I'll try to set aside time this weekend to look at it again.

I think it's affecting the stability of HS3. Every 2 or 3 days HSTouch server stops working. When I reboot HS3, I get this error:

which forces me to reboot the hometroller. The last time it happened was late Monday night so Tuesday morning I disabled UlraNetCam3 plugin and HS3 has been running great ever since.

Are you also running Netcam v3.0.0.11 at the same time?

I believe that program may not be properly configured to share use of UDP port 10000 which is the Foscam IP Camera Device Search Protocol port. I know HSTouch is configure that way because I had to ask HomeSeer to reconfigure their application to allow it. Please try disabling that application to see if it makes a difference.

Ok, I just did that and your plugin still gives that error.

Ok, that's hard to reproduce. It only happens after HS3 goes dumb. Could take a couple of days but if the plugins are incompatible with each other then I'll run yours after you figure out the crash issue and uninstall HS's plugin.

Hello Robert,

Unfortunately, I am unable to duplicate the issue you reported on my Windows 7 64 bit system. I don't have a HomeTroller S6, so I cannot continue troubleshooting the issue you reported.

I made a few modifications to the code and eliminated any used references. Can you download the latest version to see if the error is still occurring on your system?
