What HS4 plug-ins would you like to see and (what) would you pay for them.

I suspect there will be a lot of soul-searching among plug-in developers. Maybe a little guidance as to what users feel is needed and what it would be worth to them will help the developers make plans.

    Number 1.

My number one request would be a scripting language that was intuitive. Something that would do things like global variables, if then else, and other conventional programming structures, without all of the vagaries of .Net or C#. To me, using a full-blown programming language for something like home automation is, for 99% of the tasks, overkill. Of course, if you already know how to code, that matters little, but for the rest of us, using the event engine for a few years just leaves an unmanaged mess... especially trying to write around all of the limitation imposed by the engine I'd be willing to pay 2-3 times the usual rate for a PI, maybe more.

    Number 2.

Documentation, I don't think I have to explain this one. I'd be willing to pay 2X the regular PI rate, if the docs were thorough, indexed, and updated. Any tech writers out there?

    Number 3.

Not knowing the future of WeatherXML I'd like to see a more intuitive weather program with essentially the same features, but more choices of the ever-evolving sources of weather data. I'd also like to see an easier way to display local weather maps on HSTouch.

    Number x.

    Any other ideas?

                    Voxcommando Plugin would be awesome

                    locally processed !
i have used Voxcommado for years it's the best voice control / automation software out there
it would compliment homeseer very nicely, just like Jrivers Media would.

Pentair pool control software using a standard RS485 network interface, Something like a Homeseer version of https://github.com/tagyoureit/nodejs-poolController

What do you use to control j-river Media? MediaController PI?

yes, I use your plugin to get info from Jrivers, then your webpage that is generated to play and control.
but this is very frustrating because of Homeseers Media.api SUCKS ! so I can't really use Hstouch.

                          currently playing with Squeezebox
