OnDeviceConfigChange() is not getting called

alexbk66, for plugin ids the docs for IPlugin.Id says:

Do NOT use special characters in your plugin name with the exception of "-" and "."

Did you try to use one of these characters in a plugin Id, and if you had a problem do you remember what it was?
You're right that HS should catch this problem and at least log a warning when it detects one. (tracked as HS-1150)

This it talking about plugin name not ID? I think it's ok for the name, but ID is used in JS and it you have "." it breaks JS.

I don't remember exactly, but I think if you have these chars in the plugin ID - the problem manifests itself on plugin or device setting page - when you click "Save" button - nothing happens.
