HS4 JSON API Zwave 4.0

Yesterday, I was evaluating the value of using another ZW Controller to auto-change the Door Locks' User Codes. And I received timely news of the imminent release HS4 JSON API Zwave Plug 4.0. As a result, I have 2 questions about the JSON API:
Q1: How to change the User Code through JSON API ? If the API does not support User Code today, when is the rollout date ?
Q2: When (if any) would the Websocket be added to capture real-time all event changes to all relevant devices ? Any alternatives to Websocket ?
