TenHsEvents not connecting to HS Server

I have put my local IP address into the box that pops up when it cannot connect. I checked the config file and it does have the right IP in it for my HS4 System. But it is not connecting and it timing out. Any Ideas?

Are you running tenHsEvents from the same or different computer from HS3 or HS4?

    Is HS3 or HS4 running?

If on a different computer, is it on the same LAN as your HS3 or HS4 computer?

If on same LAN, are you specifying the IP address of the HS3/4 computer?

If different LANS, then you will probably have to open a port on your HS3/4 computer -- let me know and I'll look up the port.

Try turning firewalls on both computers OFF temporarily to see if your firewall(s) is/are blocking connection.

Different computer, HS4. But you know, it might be a firewall problem or a Microsoft update that killed it. I cant RDP anymore either. The computer is a nuc and is installed in the garage in a media box. I will check the firewall, thank you. If you can post the port number I would appreciate it.

Yes. I just got to work on it. I opened up port 10400 in the Windows Defender Firewall and named it TenSoftware, as an inbound rule. I am able to open up tenScriptAid and tenHSEvents. Thank you. Big help.

I just wanted to say thanks.

The firewall was my issue as well.
