  • Serial plugin not working on Linux

I'm running HS3 on Linux, and am looking for a serial I/O plugin.

I have built in (mobo) serial, USB 2 serial adapters, and even a network based serial. Can someone recommend a working Serial plug-in? The dshrip plugin doesn't work (as noted in a different post)

There is the ''BIG 5 plugin ''... it has been released not so long ago.
It is supposed to work on Linux but did not have luck with it here.

Maybe you can do some pushing to the author...

maybe the serial part is working... I was not able to edit a profil on htttp ..and using any transformation of expression on mqtt

I added big5 from the HS3 plugin interface, and I see it in the folder, but it never appears in the list of installed plugins. Is it Linux compatible?

I see the following in the log which suggest it's using an assembly not available under mono (or I haven't added it yet)

Warning, Cannot load EXE (possibly missing dependencies) HSPI_Big5.exe: Could not load type of field 'HSPI_Big5.ChatConnection:client' (2) due to: Could not load file or assembly 'SlackAPI, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies.
Do you know which mono package to add under Linux?

yes. I was able to use it under my linux system.

And here it is stated :
          • Compatible with Windows and Linux

Depending on your OS following those lines should work :

follow step 1 and step 2

Rich add some package , but they will maybe be already installed :

            2) Install the following packages that are required by HS3:

Note that MONO is required, but it is already installed with the Debian distribution. However, a few packages are missing:

            apt-get install mono-vbnc
            apt-get install libmono-system-web4.0.cil
            apt-get install libmono-system-design4.0.cil
            apt-get install libmono-system-web-extensions4.0-cil
            apt-get install libmono-system-runtime-caching4.0-cil
            apt-get install flite
            apt-get install chromium

I have installed per those instructions, and everything else seems to run on mono. Was there another package you added? The SlackAPI assembly may be outside the complete/devel packages of mono

I'm running centOS so the packages are a bit different but the mono-complete package should have covered those....I think

I am sorry, I can't help. All i Can think of is that I locked my mono install to to be able to open aspx page from Jon00 packages.
I doubt this is there reason here..

In last resort.. maybe this can help. I has to change some line

mwolter ( in this pdf) did mention those dependencies :
                    sudo apt-get install binutils libgdiplus libjs-xmlextras libglade2-0 pkg-config
                    and those packages :
                    sudo apt-get install mono-gac mono-runtime mono-vbnc mono-csharp-shell libmono-2.0-dev libmono-cil-dev mono-mcs mono-runtime mono-xbuild mono-devel
