Image file location

What is the correct file location to store images when used in virtual devices?

Is it:

html/images/jon00/

or

html/images/devices/jon00/

I know that dv.image= can only be stored in the html/images/devices folder/subfolder

I opened a ticket on this a while back and was told that images/Devices was the 'root'
